Nicholas Kalogeropoulos

Nicholas has had more than 37 years’ experience in the Hospitality, Retail and Entertainment industries. He has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and has extensive experience in owning, managing and coaching small to medium businesses. 

He was the General Manager of Food and Beverage at Village Cinemas Australia and the General Manager of The Essoign Club, a private legal club for judges and barristers of the Victorian Law Courts.  Nicholas has recently (Feb 2025) been appointed as a board member on the Victorian Governments Small Business Ministerial Council. 

Nicholas is the founder and managing director of Calibre Feasts-Flexible Solutions, a boutique events company that owns 2 venues and provides custom designed high-performance meals to elite sports teams in Australia and across the globe. Calibre Feasts currently works with AFL, NRL, Super Rugby and A League football teams. 

Nicholas is a Director of Global Hospitality Group (GHG), an internationally recognised leader in global event catering, specialising in serving athletes at the Olympic, Commonwealth, and Universiade Games. As Project Director, he oversees GHG’s current role as the provider of food, beverage, and operational services at both the Australia and USA Pavilions for the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. With visitor numbers projected to exceed 25 million over the course of the 6-month event.

In addition, Nicholas is a director of Borthwick Foods, a prestigious food distribution company providing ready to eat and ready to cook products to the food service industry. 

Nicholas has a genuine interest in passing on knowledge and has built a reputation as a Business Performance Coach with a key focus on problem solving, change management, organisational logistics, service, finance and building sustainable businesses and practices. 

Since 2018, Nicholas has sat on the Frankston City Council business coaching panel as a Business Mentor. In 2020 he was engaged as a Business Mentor by the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to deliver the Victorian Government’s Business Recovery and Resilience Program to small and medium sized businesses. He has been fortunate to coach and mentor over 250 businesses during this time. 

Owning his own businesses, he is empathetic to the pressures that come with running a business as opposed to being an employee in an organisation. He has a genuine interest in the businesses he coaches. He works with the owners and managers of small to medium businesses with the pragmatic side of running their business to build a sustainable and financially viable operation. 

He shares knowledge as a presenter at industry events and exhibitions such as Food Service Australia and Food and Hospitality Queensland. He also continues to inspire the next generation of hospitality professionals and has worked closely with William Angliss Institute for over 20years where he has been a guest speaker at graduations, taught food and beverage operations and now currently participates in the higher education mentoring program, helping final year students transition from full time study to employment. 

He has qualifications in Business Management specialising in Hospitality, a Certificate IV in Workplace and Business coaching and a Certificate IV in Workplace training and assessment. He has most recently completed a Certificate IV in Sports Nutrition to further assist his work with elite sporting teams.
